About

Self-taught singer-songwriter and producer and audio engineer, Dustin Carnes has used music as a form of creative expression starting at a young age. Having been gifted an acoustic guitar by his grandfather at the age of ten, Dustin found a gateway into the world of music performance and production.

Dustin officially began his musical career as a bass and saxophone player in his middle school jazz band. Later, after teaching himself guitar and piano, Dustin became front man of Columbia, SC alternative/rock band, Havensfall. Currently, Dustin continues to reside in Columbia, SC. With a full time job, a husband to his beautiful wife Jennifer and his 3 young children, he still uses music as a creative outlet to a somewhat busy life.

Now as a solo artist, Dustin's music can be described as somewhat of a solemn, pop, acoustic-electronic mashup with dark sounding vocals and minor-keyed arrangements.

The technical nature of recording and music production along with his background in engineering is what inspired Dustin to build his at-home recording studio. Dustin takes pride in the fact that every ounce of his musical production has a bit of his touch from the writing of the lyrics to the playing of every instrument in every song. He records, masters, and even builds custom audio equipment for his recording studio.
